Guide · compact space
A workshop in roughly two square metres.
Two square metres can support a real workflow if the centre remains a route rather than becoming storage.
Divide the space into three zones
Reserve one edge for the work surface, one shallow edge for storage and a clear route between the door and working position. Draw these zones at scale before comparing products.
Keep the centre reversible
A folding or mobile bench allows the same floor to serve assembly, cleaning and access. Locking wheels help only when the floor is suitable and the bench is stable for the intended operation.
Give extraction a parking place
Store the vacuum close enough that connecting it is easier than skipping it. Include the hose, adapters and the clearance needed to empty the container. Do not park it in the aisle.
Separate daily and occasional tools
Daily tools belong near the working position. Occasional tools can sit higher or deeper, provided retrieval does not require unloading the whole room.
Useful drawing: mark the open bench, stored bench, storage depth, door swing and a continuous aisle. If any two overlap, the layout is not finished.
Use the space checker and compare the trade-offs between a mobile and wall-based workshop.
